bug-a-boo baby, inc. was born in October, 2000 in Bloomington, Illinois.
When bug needed a security blanket, sized right to help sleep at night, this little blankie was born. To bring comfort to bug's mom, the blankie was created not too big and not too small...to impress & please "dad", this blankie's fabric needed to meet a certain male criteria..(in bug's household it was a manly mix of camouflage & nature). This creation suited it's purpose perfectly--mom worried no more, and cool enough for dad to admire...but, what was created was more than just a blankie. With fabrics that reflected individuality, mixed with tactile textures and bold colors, this blankie formed a unique personality and began being admired by others. Most importantly, this little blankie made "bug" so happy...providing just enough comfort to soothe--and was as charming as the little hands holding it.
BUG
It then began.... a joint partnership brought a grandmother's sewing talent from the past & a mother's passion for design and accessories to life. boo blankies in fun prints & patterns, colors & textures were being created, followed by our reversible & chic burpees & bibs. These three basic baby essentials all beginning with b, have grown into our signature ensemble--the bbb collection.
Seven years and two studio moves later, bug-a-boo baby offers a full line of chic & unique baby accessories to customers all around the United States. With great focus on detail, color, texture and embellishments, each product is individually designed & crafted to celebrate & capture individual personalities...Our passion for design and love for babies is reflected in each artistic and whimsical creation.
